Crowsfeet Collection®
The Crowsfeet Collection® focuses on my roots and experiences in the Southwest. These designs are inspired by landscapes, towns, the beauty of nature, spirituality and stories of indigenous stories and cultures of the Americas. For example, “Windows of Chaco” relates to Chaco Canyon and Sonoita refers to the Sonoita (“Spring Field”) region of Arizona.
This particular collection’s name, ‘Crowsfeet,’ comes from the sacred stories and lessons of Native American Crow Medicine and totems.
Though the crow is sacred and has many symbolic meanings to many different cultures, the Native American stories are most dear to my heart. Crow medicine teaches of the ability to look at a problem or situation from more than one angle, with one eye and then the other just as crows look at an object.
Crow medicine as well as many other medicines are sacred to native culture because of their link to the divine. They are spiritual messengers whose lessons are sacred and, in my opinion, needed more than ever in the world.
“The crow wished everything was black, the owl that everything was white.”
~ William Blake
