The Jarvis Collection reflects the basic concept of the beauty that can be found in all things—-from fashion and interior design to life lessons about what really is important.

Ironically, embracing simplicity is too often not all that simple. More that ever, we need to slow down, to breathe, to remember the people, places and things that we are grateful for. Break it down to basics: clean water, fresh air, and life-giving fruits and veggies (hopefully organic). Everything else is a windfall.

Now, if you are an ambitious type with an ever-active mind, you most likely need a simplified mental hook to hang your hat at the end of the day.  Your waking mind is busy enough.

You also wan t to be organized enough so that you can leave your work and return to it right where you left off. Being organized and simple makes it that much more feasible to take a breather, balancing play with work and return re-energized with new perspectives.

But “simple,” “organized” and “basic” do not have to be boring! Nor do they necessarily have to be what is called modernistic.  That’s why I have married basic, western and southwest design… and I think you’ll find the results aesthetically refreshing.

This collection honors my mother, grandmother, and aunts who taught me the beauty and value of simple things. I have important memories of these incredible women making bread, quilting, sharing stories, picking fresh produce from the garden, preparing meals and enlivening everything they touched with the divinity of their laughter through it all.
